Watch Arrasu Kannada Movie Online

Cast: Puneeth Rajkumar,Meera Jasmine,Ramya,Komal,Sreenivasa Murthy
Director: Mahesh Babu
Producer: Parvathamma Raj Kumar
Cinematography: Ramesh Babu
Editing: S.Manohar
Screenplay: M.S.Ramesh
Story Writer: Janardhana Maharshi

Puneet Raj Kumar's much awaited film "Arrasu' is a neatly packaged family film which comes off differently than the actor's previous films. The film has nothing fresh to offer in the form of story, but still it looks quite appealing because of a neat presentation and some fantastic performances by the lead artists. Particularly Meera Jasmine outshines in her role and is the mainstay for the film. And then director Mahesh Babu has handled the subject with lot of sensitivity in the second half.

Mahesh Babu shows his strength in the second half of the film where he picks up the tempo of the story. Director deserves kudos for getting the best of the artists in some touching sequences and the directorial touch in the climax sequence. If he had erred in the climax sequence, the whole film would have crumbled. The first half of the film has its usual quota of fights and establishment sequences which are well narrated. Even in the first half the plantain sequence is really touching. The film gathers momentum after halfway through the second half. And it is in these sequences that all the three artists Puneet Raj Kumar, Meera Jasmine and Ramya score good points.

Arrasu is the story of Shivaraj Urs, a rich NRI who stays in abroad spending the hard earned money of his estates. Arrasu is a happy go lucky youngster who spends his time in casinos more than any where else. Barring his rich spending ways, he has not experienced any other things of life. Such a person comes to India out of compulsion and instantly falls for Shruthi, daughter of his office manager. But a practical Shruthi says that he has to understand life and directs him to go and earn five thousand rupees out of his own hard work. Arrasu is directed to Aisha, a friend of Shruthi. Arrasu spends a month in the house of Aishu where he comes to know the other side of life. He works hard to earn the money. Aishu humiliates Arrasu in the beginning, but later she starts loving him. She also reveals her love to Shruthi. Then Shruthi who is also in love with Arrasu wants to sacrifice and accommodate the aspirations of her friend Aishu. In a fitting climax every thing is sorted out.

Puneet Raj Kumar brings out the best in him. In fact this is one film where he has tried to give his emotional best in a complex role which has different shades in the first and second half. Meera Jasmine has been able to translate her latent talent into a powerful performance. She looks good in the song sequences and is equally brilliant in touching as well as humorous sequences. Ramya competes well with Meera Jasmine and has been able to match Meera Jasmine's liveliness in a couple of sequences in the second half. Darshan, Audithya and Shreya have done bit roles in the film which are appropriate for the story.

The film is high in technical department with Ramesh Babu scoring in his camera work. Joshua Sridhar is good in background score, but the music composition of songs is not to the expected levels.

Arrasu is an enjoyable entertainer which has extremely good performances from lead artists.

Vamshi Kannada Movie

Vamshi Movie Review

The high expectations from 'Vamshi' – Destiny Child - is destined towards meeting the needs of commercial package instead of trying out new measures with such a powerful artist team, production house by intelligent director Prakash.

The heart burns of a rowdy son getting rejected by the final panel in the interview for the cop post is understood. The higher ups rejecting such upright youth is in the book of rules is also admitted. But why a new shade is not extended instead of the youth taking on law into his hands and jumping to underworld to meet his ends? This is the usual turn of events. This is what not expected from a director like Prakash. Vamshi holding the stick and teaching students in the class room the penultimate scene of the film after everything is over is a consolation.

Vamshi importance in life is only for his mother and aim is to join the police department. He perfectly knows what he wants and how he should keep his mother happy but his extreme anger and situations make him to move to the wrong steps which his mother does not want. The only wrong patch for him is his father is an underworld don Kotnal Ramachandra. On this ground that he is the son of a rowdy he is not selected for the cop post. The fury of Vamshi grows multifold and his mother is shaken but not fiancé of Vamshi that is Sharadha. She is ready to live with him adds more courage but Vamshi is forced to cross the wrong path when he is tagged in public life that he is the son of rowdy. The respect out of fear is not he wanted.

What a solid and constructive attitude of Vamshi to drive out the bad elements in the society and police department falls like pack of cards. It is at this stage the change is needed instead of going in for ordinary thought process. Vamshi is pushed to underworld by the director creating such circumstances. A rowdy's son becomes a rowdy of highest standards. Vamshi reach of heights worries the police especially Reddy because he is Vamshi's target. The pathetic past of Vamshi's mother is even harder to digest. Over hearing this Vamshi decides he is at fault not his mother in his life. He decides to surrender to police for better life but mother of Vamshi has different calculations when the police department says that Vamshi will be put down on the streets.

Vamshi comes to meet his mother with a feared crown he had earned for underworld activities to express his inner feelings but his mother before he could say anything feeds him with poison. Very happily Vamshi accepts the decision of his mother and when he is half through the death the police, politician and underworld joining together attack him because he is surrendering to police. Vamshi rise from almost death gulping salt and water to wash his stomach first and puts down everyone who come before him. Vamshi, his mother and wife are shown leading a happy life after three years of gap on the screen.

Macho hero Puneeth Rajakumar has got the perfect selection of role to meet the needs of box office. His action scenes are chilling and his ability to emote and dance deserves applaud. Nikita as Sharada is very pretty and very good actress too. The second screen stealer of the movie is actress Lakshmi. As an ill fated mother she has showed what natural acting is. Komalkumar comedy is kicking. Rajendra Karanth as don, Avinash as politician and Ravi Kaale as crooked cop is acceptable.

Idhenaithu….Jothe Jotheyali….Amalu Amalu….Thaayi Thaayi sung by Dr.Rajkuamr for 'Hoovu Hannu' used again here for important situation are worth hearing and watching on screen. RP Patnaik comes back with good tunes. KK is once again splendid in his camera work.

This is recommended for viewing youths, police department and family audience.

Director : S Narayan
Music Director : Gurukiran
Producer : Rockline productions

Movie Review

Maurya is a remake of an award winning Telugu film Amma Nanna Oka Tamil Ammai. Manu (Puneeth Rajkumar) loves his mother Meena (Roja), a teacher, very much. He is a kick-boxer and his mother wants him to win the national championship. But, he does not like his father Pratap (Devaraj), a six-time kick-boxing champion, who deserted him and his mother.
Meanwhile, Manu meets Alamelu (Meera Jasmine), whom he later calls Andhra, and falls in love with her. His mother approves the love affair.
His mother on her death bed asks him to go to his father and achieve his goal. Manu comes to Jog Falls, where Pratap is running his kick-boxing school. His father loves him, but his stepmother and her daughter, dislike him.
The rest is about how Manu was accepted as a member of their family and how he wins the national kick-boxing championship . Director S Narayan has made a faithful remake. The comic scenes are weak.Cinematography is good.
Puneeth’s role is not new as he has done similar roles while Meera Jasmine as the innocent Telugu speaking girl, has done justice. Devaraj and Roja, as parents, suit their roles well.

Bindas Kannada Movie

Bindas Kannada Movie

Cast: Puneet Raj Kumar, Hansika Motwani, Suman

Director: D.Rajendra Babu

Producer: Chandrashekhar

Cinematography: Venu

Movie Review

Bindaas, the Puneet Raj Kumar starrer which comes just after two back to back hits from the actor, is a volatile action film with love as its backdrop. The film has been made on a grand scale and is visually stunning, but lacks the soul in the form of a good story content. Shivu is a happy go lucky person who indulges in pick pocketing and blackmarketing of tickets to seek a living. One day he accidentally meets Preethi and instantly falls for her. After several interactions with her with all the ingredients of a love hate twist, Preethi finally reciprocates his feelings. Meanwhile, Shivu has been engaged as a police informer by the Police Chief who is none other than his lover's father. Shivu accepts the job only on the condition that the Police Chief should help him in getting his lady love. He infiltrates into the D gang which is an international terrorist group and kills the gang members much to the relief of the people. But will he get his lady love. There are many loose ends in the script which may well create some confusion to the audience. A well made action film's main strength is a fast paced narrative technique where the audience have little time to analyse what has been seen on the screen. On that count Bindaas does not have a super fast narration and the situations just unfold in a usual manner. The expectations of the audience is bound to take a beating severely in the second half where the film suffers totally in narration and content. But all is not lost in Bindaas because of the presence of Puneet Raj Kumar. He takes the whole film on his shoulders. His main strength has been his dialogue delivery and action sequences. He comes out top in these elements and even in the dance sequences. Suman does an okay job, but he has limited opportunities. And Rahul Roy has not been properly used. Komal's comical action has been seen in many films. But the major disappointment of the film is Hansika Motwaani. She is yet to learn basics of acting. Nasser and Ramesh Bhat are okay. The film's cinemetography by H.C.Venu stands out. The songs shot abroad and the climax sequences have been well executed. The director D.Rajendra Babu who is a master craftsman of family oriented sentimental films has not been able to follow the ground rules of a good action entertainment in Bindaas. Though Bindaas does have an original story, you would tend to remember the Telugu blockbuster film Pokiri many a time, while watching the film. And even the dialogues of the film lack the necessary punch. Guru Kiran's back ground score is good, but only the title song and "Gubbachchi Goodinalli' have the potential to become popular. Over all 'Bindaas' may be lapped up by ardent Puneet Raj Kumar fans, but in totality it lacks the elements of a good action entertainer.
